Dr. Roy is presently Additional Professor of Cardiology and Consultant Cardiology at Cardio Thoracic Sciences Centre in AIIMS, New Delhi. He has completed his MBBS, MD, DM from Delhi. He is a member of European Society of Cardiology, Society of Cardiology of Russian Federation, Cardiology Society of India and American Society of Echocardiography. He is a section editor of Global Heart (official journal of the WHF), Assistant Editor of Journal of Preventive Cardiology, Invited reviewer for- JACC Interventional Cardiology, International Journal of Cardiology, BMJ Open, Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health, National Medical Journal of India, Indian journal of Medical Research, Asian Cardiovascular and Thoracic Annals, Invited external reviewer for MD thesis for Delhi University students, Invited external examiner for DM Cardiology entrance exam for SMS, Jaipur and IGIMS, Shimla, Invited honorary member of Research Advisory Board of Heart Related Information Amongst Youth NGO (HRIDAY), member of the Task Force and the Writing Group for formulating “Indian Guidelines for management of Acute Coronary Syndrome in low resource settings.” Member, Institute Ethics Committee (Institute Review Board) at AIIMS, Certified investigator for human research projects by clearing Human Participants Protection Education for Research Teams online course, sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Dr. Roy has been the recipient of the Mohan Lal Nayar Award for the Best Junior Resident for the year 1996 at Maulana Azad Medical College & Lok Nayak Hospital, New Delhi, Jagdish Lal Kapila Award for the Best Postgraduate Student in Cardiology at AIIMS for the year 2003. He is also selected as Fellow to the “41st Ten Day Teaching Seminar in Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology and Prevention” organized by International Society of Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology and Prevention at Oxford, UK and Emerging Leader by WHF in 2014 amongst several international applicants.
