Mumbai, much like all areas of India, has a degree of localized dietary habits. The best dietitians and nutritionists in Mumbai understand these habits and are in a prime position to both identify and tackle the problems that can arise from these habits.
Common issues in Mumbai include high blood-pressure, obesity, diabetes and heart disease. A large part of this problem occurs from not only the kind of food, which includes trans-fats, high-glycemic carbohydrates and snacks/ready-meals that contain high levels of sugars, but also the way in which they are eaten.
Dietitians and nutritionists in Mumbai have become increasingly aware that the population of Mumbai are eating their meals later and later in the day, and are increasingly getting less exercise. The very best dietitians and nutritionists in Mumbai will use their knowledge of the sociological reasons for this to help treat the resulting problems. More and more domestic staff are doing the housework and manual labour that used to be taken care of by the people themselves. And the need for their patients to stay later at work, given the rapid economic growth occurring in Mumbai is a large factor in patients eating their evening meals later in the day, and also not getting the suitable amount of exercise to burn this off.
Correct advice as to how they should plan their meals and exercise to fit into their busy schedules is the best way that dietitians can help tackle the ever-increasing health problems occurring as a result.
